16:9 Dual-Screen Short Film, 2024
DIAPHRAGM is a dual-screen autofictional short film that explores queer post-colonial narratives through two different types of individual representation of young Asian women as an object. She wanders as a performer in front of the camera, navigating urban-like theater spaces and daily life, sharing her "own" perceptions and memories of identity, language, and images in a modern city (Glasgow). Her representations are constantly altered by the influence of "the other" off-screen or by her own commentary.
